    photo Member Question: Half Ironman Swim Program for Beginner
    I downloaded a 20 week program, obviously I would not want to jump in the swimming volume since the plan assumes I have already been swimming. Can you suggest an alternative?

    "I have been doing sprint and international distance triathlons over the past 30 years. I have been all in and for many years all out. In the last four months I have been working hard at getting back into shape. I am doing long rides for 4 hours and have been able to increase my long run to 11 miles. What I have not done is any swimming. I have signed up for and will be training for the Disney HIM in May of 2010.

     

     

    I downloaded a 20 week program from this site to my training calendar. I will have no problems with the cycling and the running progression. But obviously I would not want to jump in the swimming volume since the plan assumes you have already been swimming. [.....]
